Diet……

A ‘BARF’ diet is fed at Blarny Boxers.
‘BARF’ stands for ‘Biologically Appropriate Raw Food’ or ‘Bones and Raw Food’.

The diet consists of 60-80% raw meaty bones (mostly chicken) and the remaining 20-40% consists of vegetables, yoghurt, cottage cheese, offal (liver, heart or kidney) with sardines and egg yokes added occasionally. Additionally, Omega 3, 6 and 9 oils, powdered kelp, Ester C, garlic and apple cider vinegar are added to each evening meal.

All new owners of a Blarny puppy are encouraged to continue feeding a ‘Barf’ diet.
A copy of Dr Ian Billinghurst’s - ‘The Barf Diet’ is included in all Blarny ‘puppy packs’.
