A
'BARF' diet is fed at Blarny
Boxers.
'BARF' stands for 'Biologically Appropriate Raw Food' or
'Bones and Raw Food'.
The diet
consists of 60-80% raw meaty bones (mostly chicken) and the remaining
20-40% consists of vegetables, yoghurt, cottage cheese, offal (liver,
heart or kidney), occasionally sardines and egg yoke. Additives also used
are Omega 3 and Omega 6 oils, powdered kelp, Ester C, garlic and apple
cider vinegar.
All new
owners of Blarny Boxer puppies are encouraged to continue feeding their
puppies a 'barf' diet. I am always available to answer questions my
new puppy owners may have about this very simple and inexpensive method of
feeding.
